Meanings
- A village and civil parish in Wychavon district, Worcestershire, England (OS grid ref SP0943).
Hidden away in the Vale of Evesham lies the mellow village of Bretforton. Its documented history goes back more than 1,200 years to a Saxon deed of 714. The Saxons called it Brotfortun - the 'ford with planks' - possibly a reference to a footbridge alongside the ford.
