By using the struggle between the two lines as the key link in carrying out the party's general line of "go all out, aim high, and achieve greater, faster, better and more economical results in developing socialism" and by fully mobilizing the masses to fight a large-scale people's war, the party committee of the command of the newly built Peishan powerplant in Chinhuangtao, Hopei Province, has taken only 8 months and 12 days to complete the construction of its first generating unit, which began to generate power in March this year, thus saving the state some 1.05 million yuan in investment funds.

In Funing county of Hopei province, in the opposite direction to Chinhuangtao, if you go from Peitaiho, we saw then a reservoir built in 1959 to tame the Yangho River which had been a menace in the past.
