Ding'an

On 10 February 1939, the Formosa Mixed Brigade, in close cooperation with naval units, made surprise landings on north Hainan Island and, meeting very little resistance, by midday had occupied Haikoushih. On the same day, the Brigade advanced and occupied Tingan.

Assisted by the work groups of the Hainan regional and Tingan County public security bureaus, the party committee of (Hsienkou) commune in Tingan County recently launched education in the socialist rule of law in the commune on a grand scale.

While details of his case are yet to emerge, his relative Chen Jinchang , Dingan county police chief in Hainan province, is also being investigated for graft.
