Paofeng

(Li Lo), secretary of the party branch of (Chaokou) production brigade in Paofeng County, discussed his experience in studying materialist dialectics, in grasping the struggle between the two lines within the leading group along with the application of Chairman Mao's philosophic thinking, and in acting as a leader in implementing Chairman Mao's revolutionary line.

Even in October, at the conference on "Whole people take part in developing coal industry" convened in Paofeng County, Honan Province, a deputy minister, while sounding the pits' praises, spoke of the difficulties inherent in the running of pits, like vulnerability to flood-waters because of shallow working and complexity of arranging the drainage and winding systems when the working became deeper.
