In Szechwan UY housing was defined as "a long-term item of capital construction."¹¹⁴ A provincial conference was held in 1973 on the financial problems of UY settlement, in which the county authorities were evidently asked to supply building materials, for the same report goes on to say that "Chichiang County CCP Committee has provided 300 cubic meters of timber for the educated youths to build houses."¹¹⁵

On October 26, 2011, the Fifth Intermediate People's Court of Chongqing Municipality instructed the People's Court of Qijiang District to enforce rulings on the case. The People's Court of Qijiang District issued an announcement on December 30, 2011, requiring the tenant to vacate the premises.
