Meanings
- uncountableAn antimalarial medication (still investigational as of 2026) that inhibits the protist Plasmodium falciparum, thus relieving or preventing malaria.
Origin
Since 2022; named according to the combining form rules of the INN (international nonproprietary name) system, from caba + mi + -quine (quinoline derivative), where the caba and mi syllables (and many others like them) are conventional in the INN system for referring to certain molecules or functional groups thereof.
