- Synonym of e caudata.

I have expanded hooked e as ae even in words where classical Latin demands an ae spelling. The scribe was by no means consistent in his use of the hooked e: thus we have caelum beside celum, aecclesia and ecclesia. The scribe also sometimes used the hooked e in spelling the final e of adverbs, of vocative adjectives, or of the imperative singular of verbs; I render these simply as e.
