Meanings
poblano1
plural poblanos
- A mild green chile pepper native to Mexico; when dried, the chilis are called anchos or chiles anchos (“wide chilis”).
In our times of popular gourmetism, the Anaheim chili is easy to find year round in the supermarket, but the poblano remains seasonal in spring and fall.
