Until a few years ago, the lack of waste management made the Dhangadhi market foul-smelling. Today, it is relatively clean. A system that regularly collects waste from homes and businesses, enforces household segregation, re-sorts it at a collection center, and sends saleable materials to the market has eased the sub-metropolitan city’s waste management.
