Shangcheng

The newsletter noted that (Hsu) and his comrades-in-arms had settled on a mountain-encircled brigade in Shangcheng County in January 1969. He had died in early 1972 while working with explosives to open up Tachai-type farmland. The Shangcheng County CCP Committee had admitted him posthumously to the party in May 1972.

The court in Shangcheng county, a remote rural region of Henan province, ruled that Liu Mingju was not fit to raise the children, who are left solely in his care because his wife, Li Shaoju, is mentally disabled.
