Shangjie

After 1956, insofar as published accounts are concerned, archaeological work at the Shang sites in Cheng-chou became less intensive though still persistent. The only accounts have dealt with excavations at Shang-chieh 上街 in 1957-59,¹⁵¹ Ming-kung-lu West in 1965,¹⁵² a palace foundation site in 1973 and 1974,¹⁵³ and Chang-chai-nan-chieh 張寨南街 in 1974.¹⁵⁴
