Meanings
plural bergy bits
- A fragment of ice, larger than a growler but smaller than an iceberg proper.
As Ed held onto my kayak, I carefully slithered up onto the chunk of ice, wondering just how much weight would cause a bergy bit to roll, and whether or not the toutons I'd had for breakfast were enough to do the trick.
