Meanings
plural urbanizers
- One who develops a place into a city.
- A place that takes on the characteristics of cities.
However, rapid urbanization would be a major break from India's past as the country has been, so far, a reluctant urbanizer. It took half a century for the share of urban population to rise from 17% in 1951 to 28.5% in 2001.
