buyware

There is Business Basic (BBX). But it's buyware. If you find GNU licence Basic - let me know.

Don't forget Thoroughbred (www.tbred.com) which is also buyware. Otherwise, look on the bonus pack CD that comes w/ AIX 4.3+... ...There's a copy of Visual Age Java (not the enterprise edition, which is buyware). Not having played with it, I can't vouch for it.

Not everything on this site is freeware. Some trailware and shareware, and buyware.

Is buyware evil ? Absolutely not. People put money, skills and effort in developing software. They have the right to get compensation for that. That's how the world works. The hippie-era is behind us. And buyware also puts the freeware in a different perspective, if there was no buyware, freeware programmers would probably be slaughtered together with Bill G. for mistakes we call minor annoying bugs now.
