1. The B.1.525 strain of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19.

   As per WHO, the Eta variant is different from all other variants because it carries both E484K and F888L mutations.

   To test this hypothesis, we measured the serum neutralizing antibody (NtAb) response to Eta variant, as well as to other viral variants, in a cohort of health care workers (HCWs) including both previously infected (n = 15) and uninfected individuals (n = 15) vaccinated with two doses of the BNT162b2 COVID-19 mRNA vaccine.

   We identified dense clusters as well as some scattered sequences for the Alpha, Delta, and Omicron variants (BA.1, BA.5, and XBB.1) and the sublineages. In contrast, for the Eta variant and Omicron sublineages BA.2 and BQ.1, we observed a significant dispersion of sequences throughout the phylogenetic trees.
