Meanings
plural neoclouds
- neologismA kind of datacentre provider of maximum performance on scarcest space, in particular for artificial intelligence and supercomputers, where hyperscalers are not cost-effective.
I'm skeptical of some of these so-called neoclouds, the companies like CoreWeave that sort of exist to rent GPUs and other AI infrastructure to the big suppliers. I think they might struggle in 2026, but I would be very surprised if we have sort of a single huge dot style collapse in 2026.
